I am in the market for a used compact, a 4WD 20-30 hp, tractor. I will be mowing several acres, repairing a lot of fence (around a 30 acre parcel), tilling and light loading (maybe a little snow moving, discing too). I live in Washington near the Oregon border and all the ads I have seen to date are very expensive - like $9k for a 1985 Yanmar 18 Hp with tiller, mower, augger and loader. Is this too much or is it just because I am in the northwest? I appreciate your comments.

What is the model number of the 18 hp Yanmar? It should be an F15. $9000 is way off!!!! An 18 hp Yanmar here would go for no more than $4000. I have looked at the web site for a particular Washington state Yanmar dealer and they are high. If I could sell my tractors for what they are selling theirs for, I could retire. Look around before you pay $9k for a tractor that small. If you are willing to come get it, I have a Hinomoto E2304 (same as Massey Ferguson 1030), tractor. Look at the post carefully. $9k for just a tractor is high. But $9k included a loader and several other pieces of equipment. Depending on condition, $9k for the tractor and equipment with a mounted loader is not an unrealistic price. Maybe a little high for some markets, but there is market variation all over the country on tractor pricing. ....

I have a '67 model CASE garden tractor, that I believe is the same chassis as your I-R. Its been modified for wheelchair access, so I don't want to part with it, but I've been unable to locate a source of parts/service. Do you know of a URL for this portion of I-R Inc.? ....
